17. I think the right plants these stories...or at least allows them to proliferate

The overall population just loses interest in things over time. There are the left and right but a huge population of independents plus people who voted right but are truly in the middle.

As these stories get more and more….outrageous. Trump committing murder, trump murdering people on Epstein island. Bodies now being buried on Epstein island, the overall story further loses credibility. It gets easy to right off as “crazy liberals”. Would a billionaire risk everything on a woman he can never see again? How many people in an organization would have to now keep quiet for that versus just paying someone.

I believe that this stuff, the conspiracy theory stuff, just pushes the real issues further out and middle of the road people discount more of the real issues to conspiracy theories. Is it really plausible, that a billionaire and the peak of his popularity, with access to anything and already proven to readily pay people off is killing people? Are there missing woman tied to any of this? Cadaver dogs can’t find a scent 20 years after something has happened. Sex trafficking amongst the ultra wealthy happens every day here and around the world not because of murder, but because there is an endless stream of younger woman willing to do things for money or a lifestyle they wouldn’t have access to any other way. Dubai is full of beautiful woman from the US, Asia, and Europe. It’s horrible but they aren’t killed, they are paid. If things go wrong they are paid more.

Trump is shit. But the number of conspiracy theories that appear fringe when we read them is a sideshow to the crimes we know have happened and there is evidence.
