The door latch striker on the apartment dish washer snapped off. They were going to order a replacement piece but in the mean time, they whipped up a custom modification to make the the thing work -- which actually turned out to be less durable than my mods made out of strips of cardboard and a bunch of tape. lol.

But anyways, to replace that one stupid piece means a lot of labor to disassemble the door. All because they had a save pennies on the striker.
