I don't believe they were all pedophiles, but they had to know that the man they were doing business with, and/or engaged with socially had a very dark side to his life.
These people see money and power as an end in its own right. Those who weren't on board with his abuse of young girls were probably casting a blind eye to Epstein's criminality as long as the money was good.
