27. One nation under God doesn't mean Christian God.

God is a generic title; an impersonal expression that's meant to be all-inclusive.
Ancient cultures from all over the world had their own names for God, and most referred to Gods and Goddesses that ruled over different aspects of creation.
One nation under God simply acknowledges that most people in the United States worship some form of Divine Creator.
We are a diverse nation of hundreds of cultures, many that acknowledge God in ways far different than the Christians do.
To say we are a Christian Nation is the height of spiritual arrogance and stupidity.
