If a tree falls in the forrest and no one is around to hear it, does the Trump administration lie about it?

I suspect the government's statement would be "The tree found at the scene was a non-native invasive species. It was surrounded by large footprints from a human and an ox. Border patrol agents were forced to shoot Mr Bunyan, a known tree feller, when he threatened them with an axe and steered his big blue ox in their direction.."
