1. Personal rant here. There is nothing positive/favorable about herpes. Absolutely nothing.

It’s excruciatingly painful, and if transmitted to a newborn by an infected mother during delivery, can cause major harm, even death, to the baby. As a colleague of mine once put it, when speaking of neonatal herpes, “The lucky ones die.”

There are lots of not-funny jokes about herpes, made, I suspect, by people who are not familiar with the misery this virus causes. There are plenty of other unpleasant things to which Trump can be compared.

I’ll take this opportunity to encourage people to avoid any “joking” about herpes.
