5. No SOTU had ever lasted over an hour and a half before this.

Tuesday

The previous record was Clinton in 2000 at 1 hour 28 minutes. Trump's speech last year (technically not a SOTU) was just shy of 1 hour 40 minutes. The average SOTU over the past 60 years has been about an hour.
