45. IF she wins the primary, then her time is "NOW"!

Coming from an older white male, my primary objection to your post is the line
"It's just not her time."

I thought the same about Obama in 2008--- at first---
I didn't believe America was ready to elect an AA as President!

I thank GOD or whatever that I was wrong!
I was backing Edwards, but when Obama WON the lily-white Democratic Iowa caucuses,
I jumped onto the Obama bandwagon!!!

YES, Talarico may be the more 'strategic' Democratic candidate
for the U.S. Senate in Texas in 2026, according to 'conventional' political strategy---

and 'conventional' political strategy led Hillary Clinton
to select a white male as her running mate in 2016---
which in my humble opinion, cost her the election....

(I advocated for an African-American running mate at the time,
no matter who--- to attempt to decrease the inevitable AA voter turnout falloff,
after the first African-American President! and seems I was completely correct about that!)

Anyway, I don't like to see a woman saying that 'it isn't yet time' for an AA woman
in any political campaign below the presidential level, before the primary has happened
(and it looks like she might well win it, although I would be fine with either, as an outsider)

For a U.S. Senator from Texas, I would definitely pick Crockett,
if it was up to me--- but from a 'political strategy' standpoint,
I might pick the other---

--- but I don't have a primary vote in Texas,
and I have been wrong before---

do you understand what I am trying to say here ??
