(2,460 posts)It cant be a woman, a minority, a gay man, or a far left Democrat. I hate that, but its our reality right now. My personal choice would be Pritzker, but he is a very wealthy man who is significantly overweight. Second choice would be Jamie Raskin, but I dont know if he wants to run. Both are Jewish; I dont know if that is considered a dealbreaker anymore. Murphy would be fine.
Not a fan of Beshear; I saw him completely flub a pretty softball interview, and I really do not want a President from one of the most backward states in the country. Nonetheless, he does seem to have crossover appeal, which makes him a viable contender. I like Mark Kelley, but he is not especially charismatic. Nonetheless, his remarkable life of service could appeal to a lot of independents. Please spare us from Newsom, although his recent string of gaffes might disqualify him anyway.
