If we are dismissing great candidates for being gay, looks like we are also dismissing them for not being Christian, so no Shapiro.
I guess we will be having Newsom. Pretty narrow field when you take out all the "can't haves". Also a bit worrisome as many of the ones left other than Newsom don't have any national profile at all. So Beshear, who I've actually heard of, but never heard talk... that could be tough. A bunch of these other names I've never even heard of. That could be a tough sell.
But Newsom's okay.
