(4,597 posts)... Trump's favorite pejorative words and phrases, Like "Low IQ", "No talent", "You're a terrible reporter", "A threat to the country", "The failing whatever"... well, the list is long. The point being, any insults or threats that get a reaction, he will use over and over and over again. The very probably staged Butler, PA assassination attempt and the miraculously fast-healing ear. Well, yeah, too bad about the guy behind him that died, but that made the whole thing more convincing, didn't it? And no, he never expressed condolences to the guy's family. If he had, he would have turned it into a public performance ratings! and it would have been reported on incessantly.
He is a depraved creature utterly devoid of empathy for other people. For Christ's sake, he's bragged about it more that a few times! Like the time at some dinner event where an older gentleman tripped and banged his head, bleeding profusely. Trump considered it an affront, and left the room. He didn't want wounded veterans in his parade because "it wasn't a good look" for him. Only recently, we all saw him totally ignore a guy behind him in the Oval Office who passed out. Everyone else in the room rushed to assist the stricken man; Trump never even bothered to turn around. He just stood there, looking annoyed because attention wasn't focused on him.
But back to his repetition of anything that he perceives as working for him: Assassination attempts worked wonders for him. The optics of raising his fist while his ear appeared to bleed was a home run in his fevered imagination, so if something works, then work it to death!
Sane people are aghast at the thought that the President would do such a horrible thing, but get this through your heads: TRUMP IS A HORRIBLE PERSON! He has no conscience, and therefore, not the slightest concern for how his words and actions affect other people. He literally could not care less.
So, yeah, I think it's entirely plausible that this whole thing was staged. Granted, there's no proof that it was... yet. But the pattern is true to form, so updates as events warrant.
