as the flag is very close to symmetrical and even if they did notice, they wouldn't care as it is a mistake easily made, also because the flag is almost symmetrical.

The Canadian flag is not symmetrical but, even if it was accidently flown upside down, folks here would likely laugh rather than be offended.

Pro tip: Most countries, including Canada, do not get their jingoistic tights in a knot over trivial flag indiscretions.
