Respect for the flag was part of the deal and respect for the flag has no political slant.

I support people's right to treat the flag however they want and even burn it, but it still just grinds my gears to see it desecrated hanging off the back of vehicles or flown at night without illumination. The people obsessed with putting the flag everywhere don't have a clue about flag code.
