Some promising news from southern Ohio [View all]
It’s been almost a day since the polls closed. We crunched some numbers and Vernon Township nearly tripled its Democratic turnout. Green Township and Clay Township more than doubled.
The biggest Democratic growth in Scioto County came from the rural townships, not the city.
Countywide: +45.5% in four years. 3.6× faster than the GOP. 71 of 77 precincts gained ballots... all while total county registration fell by 2,500.
We’re not winning Scioto County (just yet), but we’re growing in places that don’t usually get the attention and it won’t be long before we see a beautiful blue Ohio.
