5. The whole "If you talk to anybody in Washington" thing struck me as self-righteous and defensive

Sometimes it seems like she's pontificating from another planet, but I'm pretty confident she's aware of her reputation (how many HUNDREDS of "concern" jokes have been here on DU? I'm probably responsible for a hundred of them myself)...

...and any time someone says "YOU CAN ASK ANYBODY ABOUT ME," it's a confession and a challenge rolled into one. I'd say that if you asked "anybody in Washington" about here, there would be some high-fives for backing Trump, and some groans not dissimilar to what we say about her right here.
