I’m a native Mississippian, born 1944 in crossroads cotton picking town in Wilkinson County. Left at age 18, return for occasional funeral.

All my cousins’ children and grandchildren attend all-white “segregation academies.” Their language and attitudes have not changed — talking to them is like being back in the 1950’s and ‘60’s.
