In reply to the discussion: I know it's early BUT, do you have a suggestion for a Dem woman running for POTUS or VP? [View all]DFW
(60,409 posts)67. No suggestion that I'm pushing, but
I could easily see Amy Klobuchar or Elissa Slotkin as VP nominee.
I see both POTUS and VP as wide open for now. Plenty of qualified candidates, some with minor drawbacks, but nothing insurmountable. So far, I see no one with Obamas charisma or Hillarys phalanx of qualifications, but that isnt necessary to win. Just look at Bush II or Trump. As in 2008, logic would dictate that securing the Democratic nomination should be enough to secure the presidency. But history never follows exactly the path that logic would dictate, or else there never would have been a Trump administrationor even a Cheney/Bush administration, for that matter.

I love the GG as FLOTUS idea, and Kelly generally. He will never win POTUS tho.

Misogyny is bigger than racism in America. I propose cabinet positions with real power to kick ass.

I was leaning that way too. Two males would be prudent in this election. BUT an ALL FEMALE cabinet!
