Because of the love affair with the notion of "Middle America" which has always favored areas that have now become "red." The media hasn't caught up with how America has changed. It now puts certain undue priority on white trumpy voters which unfairly amplifies their profile.

But gotta love seeing trumpy voters bitch about the current situation.
