I would imagine that the countries who were in the JCPOA are likely concerned that he is giving away many of the "carrots" in this phase including allowing the unfettered sale of Iranian oil, allowing access to some of their frozen assets and the removal of sanctions.
One question I have is that President Obama kept in place sanctions placed for reasons nor related to pursuing a nuclear weapon. These included sanctions because of their support of Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthies.
Yesterday, Trump was speaking of preferring Syria to go after Hezbollah if the Israelis are too brutal. Syria 's leaders are the former rebels allied with AQ. They have enough problems stabilizing Syria and this is an incredibly bad idea
Trump's two terms have enabled the right wing in Israel to take steps that will, in and of themselves, change their part of the Middle East. In the process, they may end a democratic Jewish state with rights for all.
This latest war may have made Iran more powerful in the region, even as many of its leaders were killed and they suffered a lot of bombing damage. It is very confusing to think how all of this plays out with the other Arab states. I wonder how much US prestige has suffered.
