Believing that he stole the election and clinging to the kooky nonsense that gets presented as "proof" means that one must necessarily also believe that the entire Democratic Party, from Joe Biden on down, was too timid, too stupid, or too complicit to say a word. One must necessarily believe that Kamala Harris herself, after repeatedly and correctly warning that Trump is an existential threat to American democracy, meekly stepped aside even though the election was so obviously, blatantly stolen.
I've pointed this out numerous times to challenge people who make the assertion that Trump clearly stole the 2024 election and not one of them has ever responded, to the best of my recollection.
I get that watching the 2024 election play out was traumatic and that every hour of Trump's second term has been torture but desperately clinging to kooky nonsense that's been repeatedly disproven is not helpful. In fact, it's actively harmful to our chances in 2026 and beyond because if the election was stolen, we didn't do anything wrong and therefore we don't need to take a long, hard look at how we did things and learn from our mistakes. There are lessons to be learned from every electoral loss and refusing to even believe we lost makes it damned hard to learn said lessons.
But copium is sadly an extremely addictive substance, so here we are.
