Russia withdraws air defences from front line to protect Moscow [View all]
Russia has pulled an air defence system from the front line and moved it to Moscow to defend the Russian capital.
A new Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun system has been installed on a tower near Moscows main oil refinery, which was hit in a humiliating Ukrainian drone attack last week.
The deployment, a few hundred metres from the Kapotnya oil refinery, comes after Ukraines successful strikes on the city and reflects how worried Vladimir Putin is. The refinery, which produces 40 per cent of Moscows fuel, is just 10 miles from the Kremlin.
Despite three rings of air defence encircling the capital, it has still proven vulnerable to Ukrainian drone attacks.

I know that The Telegraph is a right leaning UK news source, but this seems to be a pretty big deal and goes to prove that Russia totally underestimated Ukraine's ability to fight and are continually embarrassing Russia.
