A great friend of mine passed away yesterday and it leaves me feeling a bit sad. [View all]

He had been in failing health for a year or so, but he continued to work up to about a month or two before he couldn’t bare the pain anymore. It started with his back. He was in pain if he was walking, but sitting was ok.

He went to doctors and several medical experts and they were unable to find the problem. When I last talked with him too see how was doing? He was not himself and unfortunately he was in pain and was trying to say he was feeling better.

I had a feeling today in which I called his phone. His son answered and had said my friend had passed away yesterday. He explained there was complications from his blood pressure dropping too low.

I have a feeling there were other things that could have been wrong with.

We meet in the 90’s while working for a company I was driving for and he leased his truck on as an owner operator. We put a lot miles behind us over the years. He was an onry cuss, but was to be around. He was 10 years older, but we were able to make a bond together in from what we did growing up and the things our fathers taught us in our careers. He started driving a truck in the late 60’s up to a few months. He was a hard worker and rarely took time to enjoy himself. He was close to calling it quits and enjoy spending time with his family. But it wasn’t to be.

He was an avid Trump hater too! He would call me at all hours of the day, just to tell me that Trump did something stupid or whatever the case of corruption Trump was getting us into.

So, here’s to you my Friend. Rest Easy & I’ll always cherish our friendship. The roads did get much longer and lonelier without you.
