Because 20 million jobs were created under Clinton, the need for assistance went down. You don't seem to understand this. The Clinton economy is acknowledged to be one of the best economic periods in our country's history. That can never be said about any GOP administration. You're also ignoring the bad economic policies of the previous 12 years of Reagan and Bush Sr that badly hurt regular Americans along with the GOP SCOTUS appointed Bush's disastrous economic policies that are at the root of why housing is now unaffordable. I highly recommend that you read President Clinton's autobiography "My Life". You might actually learn how everything he did was to help make things better for real people instead of billionaires and big corporations.
