triumphal arch (the Triumphbogen) was a massive, unbuilt monument designed by Albert Speer as the centerpiece of "Germania," Hitler's vision for a reconstructed Berlin. It was intended to be roughly three times larger than Paris's Arc de Triomphe—so large that the entire Parisian arch could fit within its central opening.Designed to dwarf observers and physically express the power of the Nazi state.
