Notes to myself: I tried copying an image in the gmail attachments and pasting into the "Drop Images Here" box in Imgur, but it said "URL did not upload" or something like that.
So I ended up using Windows Snip Tool (WindowKey Shift S) on each image and then copy and pasted onto the "Drop Images Here" button in Imgur.
As for the first one which is sideways -- I couldn't find any rotate option in the Windows Snip Tool, but in Imgur I found an Edit item on the menu and one of the options was Rotate Right. But after rotation, the right side was somewhat clipped. After a while I discovered that I could "grab" the right-end boundary of the picture and move it to the right, which expanded what is shown.
The visible URLs are made visible by sticking a [/b] in each one. The resulting visible URL works fine for copying and pasting into a DU post to render an image; the "spike" doesn't affect that at all.
Edited to add --
I just bolded the "Notes to myself" above. It was just to myself in case anyone asked how I did it. Or to myself in the case of the first image which I didn't know how to rotate until I figured it out, and then I didn't do a very good job because it has a lot of white space below with the funny green arrow in the lower right. And it was to inform myself that I didn't find any way to do it more directly, without using the Windows snipping tool.
I knew the "notes to myself" would not be meaningful to most people unless they had experience with Imgur. And only somewhat understandable to people using other posting services. Some people use other posting services, like imgBB, postImg, and many others. Some people use tools other than the Windows Snipping Tool.
It definitely was not meant as a recipe for others to follow.
