9. What difference does it make to the GOP and MAGAt voters?

The oligarchs behind the GOP know that Trump is easily controlled, as far as their interests go. They just have to have access, so as to be the last person in his ear before any decision is made. What do they care if the nation/world fail apart and people's lives are miserable and/or dangerous? They care about their wealth, privilege and power.

MAGAt voters have been "educated" for the past 40+ years by a propaganda machine started by the likes of Roger Ailes and Rush Limbaugh to which Democrats and their liberal oligarchic backers have been unable or unwilling to respond. So now for MAGAts, Trump is them and they are Trump; all evidence to the contrary. If Orange Jesus is President, they think they win; again, all evidence to the contrary. It helps to remember that the far right propaganda machine was set in motion during the Reagan administration, and Reagan was another extremely manipulable slughead who was probably in dementia when he took office.
