Republican intellectuals put conservative principles before people.

Reorienting disaster response to rely on "federalism" (states, you're on your own) is a Project 2025 action item.

Even the "populist" Rump played for the optics, but quickly moved on other things, when the focus and hard work mattered (Hurricanes Irma, Maria, Michael, etc.).

Rump needs to be constantly reminded that withholding aid to blue states hurts MAGA people in red counties the most. That never sticks.
