Stephanopoulos Slams Trump and Family's 'Brazen Corruption'

1. Caught that yesterday and thought it was great. The Daily Beast botched one quote from David Frum, though.

The Daily Beast split a single paragraph of Frum's article, which Stephanopoulos quoted, into two paragraphs, and started the second paragraph with "He added" - so it wasn't clear that the words were originally Frum's or Stephanopoulos commenting on them.

And then TDB changed "or" to "of" in the final sentence of that quote from Frum, changing

This is American corruption on the scale of a post-Soviet republic or a postcolonial African dictatorship.

to

This is American corruption on the scale of a post-Soviet republic of a postcolonial African dictatorship.

I haven't watched video of that since catching the broadcast yesterday morning, but I'm pretty sure I'd've noticed if George had mangled that. He didn't, but TDB handled that quoted paragraph sloppily.
