but there are only two viable parties in the US at the state and federal levels (many local elections do not have Democratic candidates in the South and Intermountain West, and it is debatable whether the Republican party is really a party since in 2015 they chose an authoritarian Strong Leader who was not committed to democracy).
But regardless of how you identify if you stay home or do not vote for the one party which is committed to continuing democracy, then you are one of those who would rather be told how you will live your life rather than tell the government how you want to live your life.
