on current MLB rosters (if I counted right). All-time, there've been 640. Ii knew one of them, Omar Vizquel, when he was coming up through the minors. They wete baseball-crazy as kids, he once said, but they didn't have the money for proper equipment, if it was even available. So they flattened out milk cartons and pressed a pocket into them to use as gloves.

That's how much these kids want to play ball. That's how much The Felon is breaking their hearts, and probably half the country's.
