If they create more majority MAGA districts, by definition the MAGA margins in the resulting districts can be expected to be slimmer. If the political winds shift even a little bit, which they are doing, they could net fewer than they project, nothing, or even a loss of seats.
I use the word MAGA rather than Republican, as the Republican Party as we knew it no longer exists. It is all MAGA, top to bottom.
