A 78-year old national furniture chain known for its affordable options is closing down.
All Value City Furniture and American Signature Furniture locations nationwide are closing. There are currently 79 Value City Furniture locations across 13 states and 10 American Signature Furniture locations across 10 states.
The chains parent company, Ohio-based American Signature Inc., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2025. At the time, it said all Value City Furniture and American Signature Furniture and their websites would remain open. This week, however, they announced going-out-of-business sales would start at all remaining properties with discounts of up to 50 percent on home furnishings, furniture, décor, lighting, mattresses and rugs.
