15. It appears to be intra-GOP party infighting

I.e., the current GOP Speaker of the KY state House was the one who angrily grabbed the mic from Massie.

From the Louisville Courier Journal -

Massie speaks out after mic 'snatched' at Kentucky Republican dinner

Massie said he was initially told he wouldn't be allowed to speak at all, before event officials gave him and Gallrein five minutes at the mic. Senate candidates were given eight.

Massie said he knew his time had run out, but he wanted a little more time to "defend my wife." Trump recently published an insulting social media post about Massie's wife, Carolyn Grace Moffa, that was reposted on X by Gallrein. No speakers at the dinner had referenced his wife, Massie said, but "there's literally nobody at this event who just hasn't seen the president's tweet."

"They didn't want me to speak anymore, and (Osborne) came up and grabbed the microphone," Massie said. "He just snatched it out of there."

Some of it might have been due to confusion, the congressman speculated. He was talking about the speaker of the U.S. House when he was cut off, but he didn't specifically reference Mike Johnson, the Louisiana Republican who holds that role in the nation's Capitol. Osborne holds a similar title as speaker of the Kentucky House in Frankfort.

But he also speculated political difference between him and Osborne may have played into it.
