But the Southern Baptists I know don't believe that. They believe that God controls us all. And he wants us to obey him and follow rather poorly worded bible statements about men, women, sex, abortion, sin and control.

Also there are televangelist that preach Musk's, Trump's and other filthy-rich people's wealth is god given, a sign of spiritual grace. That material success is evidence of divine favor. And that poverty and illness are "curses" resulting from a lack of faith or spiritual disobedience. That's a very controlling god.

So, yeah that letter sounds good but I bet a lot of churches are not going to embrace it.
