it turns out my liberal family is also interested in supporting Steyer too. I liked him when he was running before and I still like him. He is a genuine politician and his opinions have remained unchanged. He backs what he says and is not a hypocrite (so far anyway).

My brother in law thinks his error was running as a Dem and not a Progressive.
