A lot of shipping is for repair, or customization. Custom stock work or trigger work, possibly something cosmetic, maybe engraving or anodizing. If something needs repair it may get shipped to a gunsmith or back to the manufacturer. I've done this myself. some items need to be worked on by a specialist in an another state. This happens all the time. Like right now there are already tons of guns and gun pieces in shipping transit all over the place. I'm sorry this really is a big nothing to panic about. The only real change with this is people are no longer limited to FEDEX/UPS for their shipping options.
