3. I've always avoided the sun because I have "Irish"-type skin and I burn easily

(By that I mean I never tan, just burn, and then it turns to freckles.)

I haven't had much success with sunscreens, whatever the PF number. So I tend to do outdoorsy things early in the morning or in the dusk hours. I can cut my grass at 7 p.m. or later and get the yardwork done before dark. That's gotten me through all these years, and I'll probably stick with that.
