She saves important stuff for books that would have been more useful when it happened. She had more than enough time to have written this up months ago when. She is an "access journalist" (something Bob Woodward turned into). She has access to the high and mighty with the understanding that anything unflattering or politically radioactive is held until it does way less damage.
