I can't imagine anyone selecting this song wouldn't be well aware of the meaning.
Sure, maybe the radical reactionaries who are now on 47's payroll are so incompetent that they failed to do even the simplest of checks, but I doubt it.
I think it was intentional by some sane people involved in the planning -- sane people who have yet to be targeted for purging. (And I firmly belief there are far more sane people, than the insane radical reactionaries they dream of populating the executive branch with). The decimation of the executive branch to date is horrific, but I firmly believe there is a meaningful resistance in the civil service standing for our shared values.
