Obviously ending ACA tax credits is a boon for Dems in 2026. But the point has been made and if they do pass an extension it only diminishes but does not eliminate their advantage on the issue.

Second is a stealth issue. Speaker Johnson's support could collapse. It's even possible Jeffries could emerge as a new Speaker. And that would allow Republicans to blame Democrats for everything going forward and we all know they'll distort the past to their advantage.

So I think Leader Jeffries and Democrats will tread lightly. The last thing they want is to be in a position to be blamed for the GOP mess.
