Our free market enforcement hasn't broken up a big monopoly since AT&T. They're more worried about competitiveness than concentration of wealth or capital. Too weak to be big allows merger after merger. The Big Banks are now the Biggest Big Banks. This mess is not going away by preventing microchip mergers and foreign suppliers. It goes away through adequate taxation that serves all of society.
