1. I don't know anything about Ms. Newsom, her finances, what she believes,

or how she conducts her normal life. I do know that not one of us anywhere could defend successfully against a trump DOJ investigation. Most of us can barely keep our normal lives together, let alone conspiratorially plot some financial gain. The rich (and I include the Newsoms) are different in only degree from the rest of us. And while this article was about Jennifer Newsom, and I like the chutzpah of her husband, I have issues with both... they both (along with several others, including Obama) with these "New Democrat" ideals, which to me read akin to Republican-lite theories and policies. I say this because I don't want to get rid of one degenerate trump and minions, only to replace them with democrats who align themselves with the financial angles of the New Democrats.

Give me an old-time FDR (at whatever age!) and THAT'S who I want to vote for! That person will generate excitement among the population. I know Bernie is too old... and most will argue so is Elizabeth Warren... but their ideas are what we need to promote to start building bridges to get things actually done FOR the people, IMO. Is there a young democrat out there (other than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) who embodies that truth and conviction for the people as a whole? It seems like the brightest democrats I find out there are female, and I'm sorry to say this country is so patriarchal I doubt ANY woman would stand a chance at the Presidency, no matter how smart, savvy, or empathetic she was. Sorry thing to say about our country, considering how many women are leading their countries today.
