1. I had an MG Midget once. I think it was a later model.

I remember it had the black rubber bumper on the front. It was a POS but I loved it. It had all sorts of problems and every time I fixed one issue it would uncover another until the final straw. A friend of mine had tickets to a Miami Dolphins game. I think it was a Monday night game and Dan Marino was QB against the Raiders. I picked up my friend in the MG and we headed off to the game. We were about a mile or so away when we had to go through a toll booth. I pulled up and paid the toll. I put the car in gear to head off and hit the gas. The engine revved up, but we went nowhere. We pushed the car off onto the shoulder and ran the rest of the way to the game. We only missed the kickoff. I got us a cab home and another friend of mine hooked up a tow truck so I could get the car back. I had recently put a new Weber carburetor on it and it gave the engine a bit more power. It was probably too much power though. I snapped the drive shaft in the transmission! Anyway, I gave up on the car and sold it for the parts. I had fun driving around in though!
