6. I loved looking at all the parts that went into the sewing machine.

I love my Brother sewing machine, but the Singer sewing machine parts were so beautiful--and no plastic parts. When the restorer laser etched the old filigree and Singer name it was so cool! So much time and effort went into the restoration, it was a labor of love. Hopefully the sewing machine will last another 131 years!
