53. I hate, hate, hate "Lord of War" with Nicolas Cage.

Yesterday

It's so fucking depressing & knowing it's real makes it even more so.

Surprisingly, "The Hunt for Red October" is one of my all time fave movies. I can watch it anytime & have probably memorized most of the dialog. "The hard part about playing chicken is knowing when to flinch." "I think when it gets confused, it kind of runs home to mama". "One ping only, Vasily." And I love the anthem the Russian soldiers sing before the sub goes silent. I read that the underwater scenes were actually filmed in a smokey room. They tried filming underwater but couldn't get the right affect & someone came up with the idea of a smokey room.
