I love seasoned ground beef/turkey/chicken crunchy tacos. I always use Old El Paso stand and stuff shells with the square bottom (which is really convenient), and they do a pretty good job of not crumbling on me. Also helpful is if you line the bottom of the shell with some shredded cheese, then gently warm them so the cheese melts along the bottom. This gives 'em some added structural integrity because it helps stop grease from the meat soaking into the bottom of the shell and weakening it when you later add the meat and other stuff.
However, any kind of grilled meat I'll make soft tacos with.
And now you've made me hungry

When I was growing up in Texas back in the 1950s there was no such thing as a "soft" taco, only hard and crackly.
