and have additional layers ready.

Have a phone charging cord that will work in your car.

Have cash. Refill the car's gasoline.

Beware of using heat sources that produce carbon monoxide, especially when shutting down every draft.

Make sure external vents on the house do not become blocked by snow or ice.
