There is an open-air primate park in Apeldoorn over in NL, about a 90 minute drive from here. Visitors are required to lock up everything that can possibly be removed by a fast-moving small thief, or else wear it in a tightly-zippered waist band. One time, next to us, we heard an infant in a baby carriage scream as if it had been stuck with a steak knife. A small death's head monkey had seen it playing with a pacifier, and swooped down and snatched it from the kid's hand. One second later, the monkey was thirty meters high in a tree examining his prize, and the kid in the baby carriage was screaming bloody murder.
