80. I routinely broke into an abandoned ice cream factory across from my house.

We all did. You had to shimmy up a support wire to get in an upper window. It had the owners' house attached. I remember at around 7 years old, hiding in a closet as the police searched the factory and house. Waited an hour after they left (having collected the other kids), exploring some more, then shimmying down the wire and going home.

And a couple years earlier, I got in real trouble climbing a 3 story house (well, 2 plus attic) under construction, after the workers went home. Everything was so damned flat where I lived, all ranch houses, that I always took any opportunity I could to get off the ground and was an expert (mostly tree) climber.

The police were really pissed at that one. I was up at the top, arguing with them (on the ground) that I was just fine. I finally came down on my own.

My parents weren't real happy, either.
