Didn't even meet Grandpapa until just a few weeks before he died, at his request; long story short, he and my dad had a falling out when dad decided to join the military and Grandpapa refused to speak to him ever again. My uncle took us to see him.
My mom's parents died years before I was born.

My maternal grandparents were Oma and Opa, my paternal grandparents Grandma and Grandpa
